Such a good weekend with some amazing people!! Raising funds and awareness for Little Stroke Warriors and the Stroke Foundation.⠀
See you next year City2Surf ;) ⠀

This time last week, the inaugural Sorry Thanks I Love You @city2surf team was toasting its victory at the finish line of a 14 kilometre course both scenic and torturous. Dressed in custom gear thanks to @rtosica and @lululemonausnz, our team of 27 runners and walkers raised a lazy $5000 for our partner @coblh and partied hard afterwards at @underarmour House, thanks to @background_cc. Check out link in profile for a taste of the day because next year we'll be calling you up.
“Make it stop. Make it stop,” weeped Pat Jarvis at Entertainment Quarter this afternoon in Cinema Number 8. He was in the front row.
Pat Jarvis promised his mates this time last year he’d complete the City2Surf. He did not. As the race came and went Mr Jarvis nursed a hangover, finally rising from bed at 2:40pm on Sunday to get bacon and eggs.
Little did he know, his mates were salivating at the same time, for an entirely different reason. “We weren’t sure what we’d make him do. The bet was open ended. We thought, ‘what’s... just horrific?’ That’s when an ad for the stinker ‘Palm Beach’ came on the tele. Beautiful.” said Mr Jarvis’ mate Kayne.

Final race pics from last weekends #city2surf run. Looks like I'm having so much fun and smiling the whole way even up #heartbreakhill. Well I was. No pressure of times just went out and enjoyed the whole experience. Such an amazing weekend with the best company to share the day with 😊 Looking forward to taking on those #hills and huge crowds again next year.
Notice the thumbs are up in every pic. Might have to tape them down next time I run.

::WHEN DOES MUMMY SLEEP?:: It’s 9am Sunday morning and yes it’s a victory they’re both asleep in the pram so I can train for the half marathon in just 7 days #city2surf 😮 .
However, this is the result of sleep regression, teething and vaccinations for baby Orlando (4 months) & teething and a 4.30am start for George (18 months). 🤪
Who didn’t sleep last night?? 🙋♀️🤦🏼♀️🤪 .

This time last week this good looking bunch of people on Bondi Beach raised over FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS towards our nursing scholarship by running, walking or crawling the 14 kms in this year’s City2Surf. I hope they are feeling ridiculously proud because they should be. Thank you to EVERYONE who donated, ran or volunteered to make this day incredibly successful and SO much fun.
We are truly grateful to have had so many nurses on this year’s team, along with the big boss-man Dr Sam, and transplant recipient Luci. To have such a huge team of people wanting to help us make a difference warms our hearts.
With this City2Surf fundraising, we only have $40,000 left to raise to make the scholarship perpetual so we are thinking ONE MORE City2Surf, then we will be funding one nurse to study for their Master in Cancer & Haematology Nursing forever! I hope you can join us on the 9 August 2020 for one last hurrah... THANK YOU ALL, LOVE EWES xx.
This time last week // After indulging in Spain, a stupid airline losing my luggage (with my runners) and being sick in bed for 2 weeks, I stubbornly ran #city2surf and didn’t care one bit that I wore a garbage bag on the train and to the start line. Look it was cold, okay, remember those freak winds?!!!
The power of your mind 🧠
We are constantly weighing our options consciously and subconsciously. We are making millions of calculations every minute
We are influenced by our experiences, circumstances and the people around us
Not only that but we can talk ourselves into and out of anything
The one thing I find very interesting is when people reach a certain goal, very quickly after the progress will be lost - but, we know that we have the power to make these decisions
Just know that if you focus on continuous improvement and bettering yourself 1% every day then you will grow
Don’t let that little voice in your head convince or tell you otherwise
Never stop learning and always strive to be better and do more
It’s you vs you and only you will stop yourself from moving forward
City2Surf. I’ve never run that far before. I trained for about 6 weeks and it paid off. Woo!

Some of the Nikon Australia City2Surf crew. Last year we were younger, last year we were faster. Next year I will train for it. 😁 fun event with an awesome team. @nikonaustralia#city2surf@city2surf Photo by Super Steph.
Last Sunday @lorenzo.princi ran the 14km @city2surf (in 55 minutes!) to help raise awareness and some money for @guidedogsnswact. While the finish line is way behind him now, you can still donate to the great cause here: https://city2surf2019.everydayhero.com/au/lorenzo-princi
Honestly this video brings a tear to my eye. This is Arran, a young man with Cerebral Palsy. An Australian Runner, World Champion and Dual World Record Holder. I have had the pleasure of working with Arran over the past year and leading up to the World Championships in Denmark. Arran won 2 gold medals in the 400m and 200m achieving a 55 second PB in the 400m. Arran's story is a story of inspiration, of perseverance, of determination and overcoming adversity to achieve your goals.
Arran's story has had a profound impact on me personally and he continues to inspire me with his achievements. This is why I became a physiotherapist and why I love what I do. To be able to give back to others and work along side people to help them achieve their goals is something I am truly grateful for.
This video was shown at the Runnation film festival where Arran was a panel member and spoke with such maturity and authenticity.
If you know someone who is keen to get after it and wants to learn more about racerunning go to the link below.
Arran I am so proud of you and keep giving it your all you little superstar.

City2Surf is my fave day each year! Better than Xmas or my b’day! You know what I’m talking about if you have ever participated. And if you haven’t, this is the lowdown:
✔️ The biggest fun run in the world.
✔️The best entertainment along the track..DJs and all.
✔️Endorphins, of course..the natural high.
✔️ Amazing parties with hot and fit people everywhere... like you have no idea.
✔️ 5 million AUD raised for charities this year!! The best community effort!!!.
It was unusually cold this year and I was down with a head cold but I still ran in my super hero outfit. No regrets! So much fun! Sorry if my cape got stuck in your face! The wind did it 😂.
Thanks to Rowan & Rhys who had to chase us down William Street with camera & sound gear again this year 🏃🏼♂️🎥🎙 #city2surf@theprojecttv

City2Surf PB! 60:53 🎉 So incredibly excited with my run this morning. I set out with the goal to run hard and try to beat my previous best of 65 minutes 🏃🏻♀️ Couldn’t believe my eyes when I turned into the finishers chute and saw 61 minutes on the official race clock 🏁 I ran 4 minutes quicker than expected, with no hill training and no taper 🔥 Just goes to show, believe in yourself and as David Goggins would say stay hard ✌️
Yesterday I completed the #city2surf to raise awareness for Dementia Australia, a cause that’s very close to my heart.
I ran in honour of my Nonna who passed away earlier this year after battling with dementia for the last 15 years of her life.
Currently, there is no prevention or cure for most forms of dementia and any donation (however big or small) will help @dementia_australia assist those living with the disease.
If you’d like to read by story or donate, please use the link in my bio. I appreciate your generosity.
Nonna, I miss you and I’ll love you always - your Bella Bambina. This is for you ❤️ #city2surf#city2surf2019#dementiaawareness
