Hopefully my sad little #silversatinpothos#satinpothos#scindapsuspictus will be a little happier now that I've set it up to climb these bamboo poles. I'll be picking up some sphagnum moss this week from Home Hardware, too, and fingers crossed that'll help this baby perk up 🤞🏻
I found a beautiful clematis for the front of the house that’s happy in shade: Black Prince. It’s grown from a tiny little plant to this in a couple of weeks.
I don’t like the front of our house at all. The drive is horrid, the previous owner’s extension is badly balanced and there’s a vast expanse of dead, north-facing, windowless blank wall. The only thing I can think to do is fool our eyes by plonking planting in the line of vision as we look at the house. You’ve got to feel good to be coming home, and plants are just the best welcome.
There are so many different breathtaking Monsteras, but the Monstera adansonii; The Swiss cheese Plant 🧀🍃has definitely captured my heart! This was my gateway plant into aroid collection and one species I am continuously propagating and growing.
Loves, bright light, humidity and warmth.
Hates, cold and scorching sun rays
What’s your favorite Monstera? 🌿
One of creative projects. So far pretty good. Been a couple of months now.
Something a bit different to Hydrangea petiolaris ,white flowering climber for a north wall. Try Schizophragma Rose Sensation. Deciduous, self clinging. #unusualplants, #climbingplants, #northwalls, #self-clingingclimbers. #barewalls, #thesuffolkcoast, #Aldeburgh, #Southwold, #Woodbridge, #Felixstowe, #Framlingham. #Suffolk.
Mega happy with ticking 'Witness the Sickness' [8A] last night! After a utterly useless start to the session, beta started to align with just enough energy to piece it all together in a session. YASS! 😁
Winning with the @redchiliclimbing stickies!
Passiflora or Passion flower/vine grows along the back fence in my garden.
However, I always feel a bit robbed with this climber as it throws itself over the fence and puts on a lovely show in the neighbours garden!
They love it as do the bees 💜🐝
Cissus Discolor in all its glory. The so-called Rex Begonia Vine was THE plant on my wish list for a long time. I'm beyond thrilled it's finally here!
It came on a trellis but I wanted a hanging basket so I had to unwrap it. Turns out the vines were sooo long they were a perfect opportunity to propagate it - I cut them by the leaf node, cut the lower leaves at the base and stuck the shoots directly into the pot with the mother plant. We'll see if they root. I find soil propagation somewhat easier than water propagation, especially with certain types of plants.
The background for this picture is a wild vine growing on the exterior of my home so it's a symbolic marriage of the exotic with the domestic.
We are super proud of our heritage projects which makes up around 35% -40% of our work.
The new garage at our CT7 house sits quietly within the front setback and is further softened by a semi-formal garden

#mygardenthismonth and this is our boundary wall, the brick wall is quite low so we have trellis up to give more privacy which I am growing various climbers through. We plan to do the same on the other side of the garden next year. Donna #boundarywall#trellis#climbingplants

Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking to the Saco Valley Garden Club in western Maine. They had these small house plants as table favors and kindly gifted me with one. Take a close look at the pot cover - it’s a cupcake wrapper! How clever - fast and inexpensive and ever so pretty!
This bright baby, the third of it's kind and sole survivor, shines no matter the light. It's pure perfection.
