Dr. Raphael Mechoulam has described the plant cannabinoids as a “neglected pharmacological treasure trove.” We desperately need more research on these compounds, and with the promising results seen so far, CBDA should be at the top of the research list. 
Many common illnesses, including diabetes, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and others, are thought to be a result of chronic inflammation.

I'm only down 300gm this week but I'm ok with that, I was sick at the beginning of the week with food poisoning and hadn't been moving much or meeting my step goal. Yesterday I got my 10,000 steps in and my husband and I are going on a small hike today.

This is for everyone!

Before we start anything I have a question for you. “What does Exercise mean to you?” When I say the word exercise a lot of people cringe. Ultimately a lot of people describe exercise as a chore🧹 Instead of thinking it as a gift! 
But when people think or describe exercise they think they need to be in the gym for 60+ minutes running and dripping in sweat for it to count!💦 The recommended minutes of moderate aerobic physical activity is 150 minutes! 
Physical activity can range from walking, running, cleaning your house, pulling weeds in your garden, swimming, chasing your children, playing basketball, volleyball, wrestling, baseball, even walking at work! 
So if you break it down that is roughly 22 minutes 7 days a week or 30 minutes 5 days of week of activity! 
When you’re walking the dog or cleaning the house! Time yourself and see how many minutes of activity you get! 
Also I want to recommend a really great Health and Wellness podcast! It’s called Optimal Health that I found on Spotify!

Pay attention to these four things and you will lose weight. ⁣

1. Diet - I know this. You know this. You can’t outwork a bad diet. Pay attention to the calories in and calories out. Eat a well balanced diet that is low in refined sugar and saturated fat. Include 25-30g of fiber daily. FAT IS GOOD. CARBS ARE GOOD. In fact they are essential. Just pay attention to the amounts you are eating! A good meal tracker will help. ⁣
⁣
2. Exercise - Resistance training is king. Though it may not happen as fast, it will last longer. This speeds up your metabolism. Building lean muscle burns more fat. Period. Don’t worry ladies, this doesn’t mean you’ll get “bulky.” ⁣
⁣
3. Sleep - we could probably all use more of it. 7-8 hours is good for most people. This allows your body to restore itself and gives you increased energy. A good nights sleep has been shown to increase fat loss while a lack of sleep contributes to fat gain. ⁣
⁣
4. Activities that aren’t “planned exercise” - like taking a stroll, parking further from the door, or stepping away from your desk every now and again. Any way to burn extra calories! ⁣

Let go of Stress!

I always bring my deep blue rub wherever I go and use it every after work, post workout at the gym and apply it whenever I feel my muscles are sore or stressed.

My joints were aching all over after our yoga session yesterday. I applied deep blue after my workout and added a drop of peppermint for cooling and the effect was really terrific! I felt so relaxed. I did it again before I slept and added a drop of lavender this time and my sleep was really good. Deep blue is really comforting and helps me relax and distress on a daily basis. I really love my deep blue.

After a  beautiful day with my family I had to make a stop to @aldiusa for some good whole foods. Green smoothies are back in my rotation so stocking up on fruits to chop and freeze is vital. I love to buy my fruit and freeze on my own, it's cheaper and way fresher than any bag I buy at the store. There is always enough time when it comes to your health. You have to unlearn those quick and fast methods and learn to make time for the important things. .

This is outdoor training that runs Saturday mornings in Hagley park during the majority of the year.

This is in recess at the moment until September because the weather is just not great for outdoor training - we want you to be Healthier and Happier,  not cold and miserable! 
So we're now going to provide some Free Training videos to help keep you keep active until Spring 😃

We will aim to keep the movements straight forward and we will aim to always demonstrate the most accessible form of the movements in these videos. If you are a more advanced exerciser pls feel free to use a more advanced form of the movement.  No matter which level you are working at technique and SAFE form always, ALWAYS is the priority! If you have any questions or concern pls ask, and pls be sure that you are medically safe and clear to be performing these workouts. 
Yesterday we posted a warm up video that is a good general warm up and can also be used to cool down afterwards. Pls check that out first.

When I first heard about mindfulness I was at yoga and I was like ya ya lets keep going I want to get my sweat on.⁠⠀

I then learned more and more about mindfulness and kept hearing more and more about it. I learned how mindfulness can help decrease stress and how it can help to ground us so we can become more present and not so caught up in our own "heads". Mindfulness practices have been shown to help decrease stress or our perception of stress and we all know how that can impact our health. Stress is a major contributor to some of the major illnesses we hear about on a daily basis. ⁠⠀

I became curious and had a conversation with one of my dearest friends @createthelove years ago and he suggested I look up #jonkabatzinn and his "Introduction to Mindfulness" on @YouTube. I then realized how important this really is to our health and wellbeing and I became even more curious.⁠⠀

In my life, I have found that when I become curious about something there is usually a good reason. Life continued to give me signs and I kept following. Including mindfulness practices such as meditation into my life has really helped me with my health and continues to help ground me and become more present in my day to day activities.⁠⠀

I have so much to learn about this topic but I thought this quote was cute and I wanted to share how meditation has helped me in my health journey. So maybe it could help someone else who is curious. ⁠⠀

What an unbelievable trip we had!!!!! These woman! This team! Our tribe! 
Literally.. no words. 
Being apart of such a motivating , Inspiring team is something I never thought I needed in my life ... but I was so wrong.

We push eachother. We support eachother. We cheer eachother on. We are there for eachother every single day and it’s a pretty amazing feeling knowing you have so many other like minded people in your corner , all working towards our own personal goals!

This trip was such an amazing experience! I worked out with my all time favorite super trainer, worked out on the streets of Indy with 20,000 other coaches , learned about new programs and products being released, got early access to new products, learned some valuable information from some of the top leaders in training workshops, and even had the pleasure to see Rachel Hollis!!! I had my handsome hubby and our sweet boy with us and my heart could not be more full. 
Huge thanks to my hubby for being full time mommy and daddy on this trip so I could take away as much as possible!

Learning and growing every single day has not only helped me become a better person , mama and wife , it has helped my family in so many ways! 
Everyone should experience this! You may not even know that you need this in your life right now , but I assure you everyone does.

I’m just poppin on to say, not everyday your gonna want to go to the gym. your either going to be tired, sore or genuinely not feeling it and that’s okay ‼️ I feel #listentoyourbody is not preached enough, and people go when really not wanting to, force a session and then leave feeling unhappy 😢 .

I have been working out regularly again and I figured I’d share why it is so important to be active in your life!
1️⃣Exercise makes you healthier; low levels of cardiorespiratory fitness (aka cardio) are associated with higher mortality and may be a stronger predictor of mortality than smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes
2️⃣ Exercise improves cognitive function; it’ll help you think better!
3️⃣Exercise improves sleep, reduces stress, anxiety, and lowers your risk of depression
4️⃣Exercise prevents other diseases like osteoporosis and is associated with a lower risk of hip fracture.
