Happy #FitFriday everyone!
Have you ever thought of trying Cryotherapy? Don't have a clue what it is? Well lucky for you, I tried it out the other day! Thanks to @classpass I got to give @iceboxtherapy a try. These studios advertise specializations in athletic recovery, pain management, and beauty and wellness.
Cryotherapy is a beauty/"health" treatment that submerges your body in temperatures between -166 and -220 for about 3 minutes. You can stand in a chamber like I did, or have the treatment on particular parts of your body including your face. I went in hoping for help with recovery time and muscle soreness. #DOMS is the worst!
It sounds impossible to sustain those temps, but after a week of heavy lifting, it was really refreshing! I've only been once, so I can't really speak to its "health" benefits, but I did enjoy the treatment. You get into the chamber with a robe, socks, slippers, gloves, and optional face masks and earmuffs. A technician talks you through your time in there, both to let you know how the treatment is affecting your body, and to keep you aware of how much time is left. They will also determine the level of cold which you can handle. Don't worry, there's a beginner level! Don't feel pressure to last the whole 3 minutes the first time. At any point you can ask to come out if you can't take it anymore.
Afterward, I opted to have the Normatech treatment in the Chill Lounge, which are those black zipped things that look like I have bubble legs. They applied pressure to my lower half incrementally. Think a blood pressure cuff-like squeezing motion, except comfortable and beginning from the feet and eventually "pressurizing" your whole leg up to the upper thigh. I wish I could describe the sensation in a better way. It's supposed to help with circulation post cryotherapy treatment.
The audience for this treatment includes athletes, those experiencing pain, fatigue, or inflammation, anti-aging advocates, and wellness seekers. So go get frozen, my friends!

I usually don’t do any crazy makeup cause my everyday countour and lashes are enough. Lol. If I do want to spice it up, I usually opt for a winged liner, but the make up on @euphoria was so innovative and inspiring, I decided to recreate one of Maddy’s looks. Cause she is vibes. You can swipe right to see! It’s the one I resonated with most because of its simplicity (can’t really do crazy eyeshadow cause lashes). Anyways, I know it’s not perfect and I probably need smaller gems next time but I was having fun with it, okay? #maddyforprez
