I use to always talk about this tree when I was little, like 7 maybe. I musta thought it made me sound smart because I knew the long name. Well, I thought it was long back then. Lol. Easier to know than "ficus" or "oak". It's the schefflera arboricola Oh no, I've always been a #plantsnob. 😢
Hermosos jardines y pérgolas que hicimos para la cabaña Alpina en Sopó
Saturday afternoon plant party with some of my VIP’s 👑. Repotted my Rhaphidophora tetrasperma today and am very excited to see how much it grows. I am making my own soil mix now, with 1/3 potting mix, 1/3 perlite, and 1/3 sphagnum moss. That’s a real loosey goosey combo that is bound to make most plants well drained and happy!!
Today I worked on rescuing some plants that were given to me. First and second photo is before and after of the first one, thinking it's philodendron of some sort, cleaned the roots, trimmed the damaged leaves and repotted with fresh soil. 3rd and 4th pictures is before and after of a poor zz plant that had root rot and it was so sad looking, salvaged what I could and trimmed the rotten pieces off and then dipped the stems in rooting hormones and set them in water. Fingers crossed they all survive and hopefully thrive 🤞💚

Almost forgot about these cuttings. 😅 #ludisiadiscolor roots quite easily in water without any special treatment, no water change, and placed in partial shade.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
A little #pileapeperomioides post to remind you that the friendship plant is meant to share love with everyone, and even if you don’t have one of these beauties, you can still share love and be nice to people 🌱
Woke up this morning and randomly decided to count the amount of cacti and succulents in my plant fam 🤗🌵 Probably because I took a lil lunch break stroll over to @hotcactus_la pop-up shop yesterday ... it serves as an everlasting inspiration and just GOALS AF 😭😍🌵
GURL, she proud to say that she has 40 cacti and succulents in her plant fam ... that’s nearly half of the green gurls in my plant fam 💃🏽🌵
So today she’s re-sharing her top 3 care tips for these prickly green gurls:
1) While cacti and succulents love that bright light, hunty, exposing them to too much full sun can actually burn some of these green gurls. I’ve always made the assumption that the more full sun the better, but this is not always the case! 🌞 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2) Water these kweens according to the season, gurl! During the warmer months, these green gurls are thriving and drinking up much more water than when they're resting in the colder months. During colder months, I watered these kweens about every two to three weeks. During the warmer months, I water them every one to two weeks, and I make sure that the water is evenly soaked throughout the soil!! 💧 ⠀⠀⠀⠀
3) Soil matters, dahling! I make sure to pot all of my cacti and succulents with soil that contains fir bark and perlite, as this soil mixture drains faster and prevents overwatering! 🌵💚🌵
