It is not often easy to stick out with a shop in shop experience but this example above from @toteme store in @ahlens in Stockholm is just a heaven! By the very talented @halleroed studio! 👌🏻 #spaceinsight
The rain did not stop us from exploring more of what Nokia had to offer. This is Ossi Somma's art garden and the further you walk into it the more eerie and haunting his art gets. I really enjoyed seeing this place it showed me that even the craziest and haunted of minds can make spectacular pieces, And maybe that's exactly how we need to be.
- no detail is ever too small -
This two cuties are two test espresso cups with a story to tell.
As you can see from the second picture in the series, I noticed something very interesting happening inside of the neck on the mini ikebana vase I last posted.
Since I always pour in the transparent one inside first, wipe the excess off and then apply the outside glaze, the black one is on top of the transparent one, but in here seemed to sink inside the transparent one with a clean line and some nice flowing effect underneath.
This lovely little detail sparked me the idea of doing this as a decorative technique. So I grabbed two little bisque fired cups I had handy on my shelf, dipped them in the transparent glaze up to the border, and then applied the black one inside with a generous overlap on the upper portion of the outside.
I am very very happy about how these turned out, and it says a lot about my creative process. It's all about observing the uncontrollable phenomenon of the materials transforming and interacting during the invisible firing phase of inside of the kiln. Observing is understanding, and with understanding you gain control over the process, adapting and enforcing the intuition into application.
I probably will do more pieces with this combo, but what do you guys think about them? 😄

This is me in my outside «office», and my happy place. I gather first hand information for my creative works by being in the element, creating an emotional landscape in my mind, that later gets visual through my creative practices. Like drawing, taking pictures, filming, choosing yarn, creating patterns and making motives for my weavings. A practice to collect material to capture the mood and that translates an inside feeling into something that can be seen, touched and explored.
Surfing brought me closer to the ocean. It brought me right into it. I surf in its emerald and ever changing blue hues, I paddle on my surfboard through its textures and structures and I get a very good close up look upon things. I see how weather changes its character - it never looks the same, and it is very much alive. Sometimes calm and sometimes wild, sometimes beautiful and sometimes bitchy, sometimes loud and sometimes silent, sometimes fearful and sometimes easy going - But most of all, so incredibly giving, if one just is perceptive to listen and observe it.
Just like us humans.
Pic: This is me in front of my first own surfboard handcrafted/shaped by @robertaugustsurfco. Photo was taken at our local beach #hoddevik in Stadlandet, a half pensinula at west coast Norway in typical Norwegian summer spirit with a winter wetsuit - norwegian summer, ej.
The hand woven hooded shawl in dark mossy green shade is back in stock! 😀 💚 You can find it under the shop section "Hooded shawls". The link to my Etsy shop is located in my profile bio @trolltovadesign 😊
Ok so I've said this before but I have noticed an increase in confused and sometimes also rude comments and DM's lately. Every photo in my feed (or at least 99.9%) are staged photos. It means that on a "photo day" I will pick an outfit, do my makeup and the take my Canon to the wild and overgrown part of our back yard were I pose a lot and take the photos you later can see in my feed. 🙂 Some people seem to think that the photos taken outside are photos that other people just randomly took of me when I'm standing in the woods dressed up in my fanciest dresses. 😅When I post photos that look a bit different than the ones I usually post, for example a different pose, a different location, different makeup or different editing, some people think that those photos are the staged and modeled photos unlike my "regular" Randomly-standing-in-the-woods-photos. 😋 Ok so here's the thing. It's totaly fine to not like every photo I post. But seriously, I do NOT need to hear about it. I don't need to know that you usually love my photos but this or that one looks weird and unnatural and that you prefer my "natural" photos, just because I looked a bit different in that photo. 🤨 It's rude and it's not a compliment. I have recived these kind of comments a lot lately and while I don't get personally offended I get irritated about the fact that some people think that their negative opinions about my apperence are so important that they need to tell me. I post different kinds of photos on here and I will continue to do so but please remember that they are all STAGED. 😑
I know I look uncomfortable in some photos and I am. 😋 I'm not a professional model or a photagrafer but I really enjoy doing this. 🙂 When some of you tell me that my photos makes you feel calm or inspired that's the biggest reward and it's what keeps me going so, THANK YOU💚 (and sorry about the rant, again🙄)
