From the first @creatorwalk, right as the sun was going down - caught the last glimpse of golden hour peeking through the trees and we were trying our best to make use of it ✨

Mirren Lake peeking through the clouds from the summit of Comox Glacier
Black Peak Summit, 8,970 ft. This was an incredible backpacking trip! Passed three lovey lakes on the way in. We found the perfect camping spot for the night and then continued our ascent. The scree field was a beast, but the climb up was amazing. We were lucky enough to have great weather all weekend.
Those dreams we have that we may never actually work to achieve... For a long while, I've had this goal to obtain an e30 and restore it as needed, and as much as I would love to have this dream come to be, I've also come to understand that it will likely never occur.

If only, right? Pretty sure your insurance won’t cover it but a spot in the RunAway Girl’s Weekend will surely be worth every penny. ☺️
This week we’re working our way up the chain of Cascade volcanoes. 🌋
If you’ve ever flown over the Pacific Northwest on a clear day, you may have seen some of their snow-covered peaks dominating the landscape. Eighteen volcanoes make up the Cascade Arc, starting with Lassen Peak in California, continuing 800 miles northward through Oregon and Washington all the way up to Mt. Silverthrone in British Columbia.
Over the weekend we visited Oregon’s Crater Lake, which was formed when Mt. Mazama blew 7,700 years ago, shearing a vertical mile off its top. The volcano pictured here is South Sister, 120 miles to the north, the youngest and highest of a trio of mountains called the Three Sisters.
According to the USGS, no one knows for sure when or if any of these volcanoes will erupt, but seven of them have been active in the past 300 years: Mt. St. Helens, Lassen Peak, Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Shasta. Any of these could be the next to erupt, though the odds are highest at Mt. St. Helens. Its eruption in 1980 was the most destructive in U.S. history. Fifty-seven people died, thousands of animals were killed, more than 200 homes were destroyed, and more than 185 miles of roads were damaged. Ash clogged sewage systems, damaged cars and buildings, and temporarily shut down air traffic over the Northwest.
On Wednesday we have a permit to hike to the crater’s rim at Mt. St. Helens, something we’ve wanted to do for a long time. The forecast is calling for thunderstorms and high winds, however, so there’s a chance we may have to scrap our plans and try again for a permit next year.
Whatever is in the bucket is only as good as what is in the well.
My truth about weekends.
People are always saying “you always eat so healthy” or “I know you wouldn’t eat this but..” WRONG!!! I enjoy my food just as anyone else does. I get to CHOOSE what I eat when I want. I choose to be healthy most of the time but I also allow myself to eat foods that may not be so healthy.
Health doesn’t have to be boring but it IS necessary. I love the 80/20 rule and I choose to live by that. Chose wisely my friends.
Thought I’d do some exploring around where our lake house is being built and found a network of hikes right near. It was so hot we didn’t get to the very top but still found a pretty nice view ✨🌿⛰

I can’t believe a place like this exist right within the states and doesn’t require an international flight ☺️.
So far, my favorite lavender field (since I’ve yet visited Valensole), and one of the best photo shoot experience! We booked this field for a private sunset shoot and undeniably at sunset, the colors were amazing. I couldn’t explain the beauty of the lavenders glowing and changing to every shade of purple. I’ll be posting more details on my blog in the days to follow. Save and share as a reminder! 💜
