Had 3 bananas that were pretty ripe and I didn't want them to go to waste so I decided to slice them into coins and freeze them for smoothies 😋 Not only do I save on waste but I also save on carbs by not having to use an entire banana at once...8 coins = 1/3 a banana which is about 3/4 carbs.
. Five fatty foods to help lose weight 💟 Some types of fats can prevent overeating and be beneficial to the body. And how delicious they are!
The first commandment of nutritionists says: our body needs three main nutrients - proteins, carbohydrates and fats. And the last from the key list has not been canceled. But! Not all fats are equally beneficial, and it is important to learn how to distinguish the right from the bad. The first helps to produce sexual hormones, maintain mental alertness (60% of brain cells - fat!), Stabilize blood sugar. Moreover, the correct fat is not stored at the waist or hips, but is stored in the muscles, bone marrow and organs of the nervous system. In order for us to better assimilate all the nutrients from vegetables (especially red, orange and yellow), they need to be “whipped” with healthy fats. Introducing our magnificent top five. COCONUT OIL “Only the lazy one still does not sing his praises: it is useful for the thyroid gland, and makes the hair shine, and improves the elasticity of the skin. In addition, coconut oil speeds up metabolism and helps burn up to 120 extra calories per day. In addition, it is the only oil that does not collapse under the influence of high temperatures (unlike, say, from the beloved olive oil) - you can fry anything on it: it does not become carcinogenic, and after heating, on the contrary, it will help cleanse the body. SALMON “Put the cherished fats Omega-3 and Omega-6 and just an incredibly tasty product - when we get pleasure from the dish, we gorge ourselves faster, and we are not drawn to another portion any longer. And salmon is an excellent source of protein and vitamin A, which contribute to the normalization of metabolism. Solid five
Heading back from a 15 day vacation today! We’ve been driving for about 12 hours. 🙄 .
I managed to do a 16:8 fast everyday (and even got two 20:4’s!!!) for the first week of vacation at my parents house. Then the next week I did 13:11 (everyday but one) while in South Padre. .
I haven’t weighed but I know I’ve gained because....vacation! But I’m really proud of myself for setting a fasting goal and keeping it! .
Also, I’ve become a huge fan of black coffee...weird. But of the cold brews I’ve had I really like this one! .
Only 1.5 hours left of driving!!! 🎉
I’ve decided to start fresh on my fitness journey. The last few months have been crazy and I’ve learned a lot about myself in that time. -
The weeks leading up to Ky’s homecoming my anxiety was very high, and it was even worse during the reintegration period (to the point of panic attacks and making me physically ill). I’ve battled anxiety and depression most of my life but am now acknowledging it and taking control over my mental health. -
Around 6 months ago, my endometriosis symptoms began to flare up again. It’s to the point now that I’m in pain everyday. Some days I can function with minimal interruptions but other days I can barely move. My doctor gave me no new options so I’m waiting on an appointment with another doctor to try to find some relief. -
I’ve learned to give myself grace and to be gentle with myself. Sometimes my mental health or recovering from pain has to take priority and that’s okay. I’ve had a rough few years and a very rough past year but I’m ready to rise above it and make myself a better version of me. -
I got two workouts in this past week and made sure to get in extra steps and be as active as possible. I also lost 4.5 pounds this week for a total of 20.5 pounds down from my heaviest! I’m excited to be back on this journey!
T H R E E - three weeks until the @city2surf ! Do I feel prepared? Yes, to the best of my ability, I have a plan, a schedule and a recovery routine set in place. Yes I have a sore knee and yes it’s been a slow comeback but the reality is that I can only do what I can do. My goal is to run the race, finish it in one go and celebrate! Running for @sydney_kids makes everything worth it too. Link in bio for an awesome tax deductible donation opportunity! 🏃🏼♀️ 🦵 🤕
Went to dinner with my family. Drank a full glass of water before any food arrived. Had 3/4 of another glass of water along with a glass of unsweetened raspberry tea (50 cal) with my dinner. Dinner was 6 oz sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes & broccoli. (550 cal for that plate)
Not pictured was 2 mozzarella sticks (240 cal). I was pretty proud of myself. Over halfway thru our appetizer a piece of the ceiling fell into our food. We got moved to another table & said they were going to bring us a new appetizer even though 3/4 of ours had been eaten. I asked the waitress not to bring us a new one because I didn’t want the added temptation. She came back a moment later and said her manager said they HAD to bring us a new plate & we could just do a to go box if we didn’t want to eat them there. WTF...I asked to not have them. I don’t want them to do, I don’t want them in front of me. I didn’t react, I wanted to, but thought better of it & focused my mind on drinking my water instead. The new plate of mozzarella sticks came out a min later and I didn’t eat a single one.
I am really starting to dislike eating out. It’s such a trigger for my old habits. But...unless I want to become a hermit it’s something I have to keep working on. The good news is, I am getting better with it!
One thing I do NOT understand, is thinking because you're on a journey to improve physical fitness you cannot indulge in amazing food. Y'all be like OMG #FITNESSJOURNEY YASS and posting pictures of the ugliest, blandest, most cardboard ass, make me wanna slap you with the spirit of my grandmother ass food. Every day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. WITH NO BREAKS FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE CHARMIN. You know damn well you be crying inside tryna chew through that white chalky rubber you call chicken. Don't lie. Go buy some damn seasonings. Also. 1) healthy food can be delicious. But that is for another post. 2) The point of this post: steaks the size of my face aren't exactly healthy but indulgences are allowed in M O D E R A T I O N.
By moderation, I mean the 80/20 rule. I'm a devout follower of the 80/20 rule. I'm so devout I only follow the 80/20 rule 80% of the time. The 80/20 rule is essentially, if you are doing well, eating right, exercising, hitting all your marks for building a healthier you 80% of the time, then 20% of the time there aint no shame in doing something less in line with that mission. Like giant steaks with godlike marbling.
Stop trying to go 100% on eating perfect. It ain't sustainable. And it for damn sure won't be if you buy into the idea that your food cant be decadent to be healthy. But again, not the point of this post. (Buy some damn seasoning). I'm gonna get my 20% on by grilling these big ass hunks of flesh. You should go get your 20% on too (if you've earned it). Because you deserve to.
This is real life! We’re sweaty and gross! We’ve been cleaning our parents garage all day! 🧼 .
We’ve had a tough day today and if you’d like to know what happened you’ll have to message me because I’m not comfortable sharing it on my post. .
Brother- a person who is there when you need him; someone who picks you up when you fall; a person who sticks up for you when no one else will; a brother is always a friend! 🖤

I have been feeling so loved lately and I just wanted to say thank you! Sometimes the world is too much to take in but there is still so much kindness out there. I’m making so many life changes and it’s scary but I’m thankful for my family, friends, and this platform to allow me to make those decisions ❤️ I love helping others and spreading the kindness that is given to me! So I just wanted to say thank you to all of you and love you bunches 😘
Very important tip to stay warm! Basically we lose about 30 to 40% of body heat through the head. Therefore, when it is cold, our body first of all will send blood to the head because the brain is the main organ of the body and needs to be kept warm. So the first thing our body does is to slow down the circulation at the extremities to send the blood to the head.
That's why many people feel very cold on their hands and feet even wearing gloves, socks, and even thick coats.
But none of this works if the head is not protected. So the tip is:
Always wear a hat, a hood. Even a cap or hat will make a lot of difference. Or a shawl, a blanket. But cover your head well and preferably the ears too. 🧣 Keeping your head protected has greatly diminished the cold in your feet and hands, something very common in people. 🧣Before putting on gloves, first protect your head and you will feel the difference for sure. And if you can, value the local artisans who make these important shelters for the head, besides, being a piece of clothing also has its charm there. 🧣 Protect your head and you will realize in practice that the whole cold is not only solved with coats, on the contrary, you will find that you can wear even less garments if your head is well protected.

Sometimes I go to pick up some groceries and stop to try on clothes that I have no intention upon buying just to feel this. The raw emotion of knowing you overcame your demon and found a freedom you never thought possible. I am not saying that weight loss will make you happy and take all your pain away. Only Jesus can do that. But when you waste so many years of your life bound up in addiction and you truly feel you’ll never be free, there’s nothing that can describe the feeling of finally being on the other side. Keep fighting guys🥰🙌🏼
Cheeseburger for dinner and yes, more mixed veggies and sweet potato fries 😂 just super easy sides that I love! I just split my beef into 2 patties, season with salt pepper and garlic powder, then cooked them in a pan on the stove! Super good and filling! 💗 Feel free to leave out the bun and do it Flying Dutchman style! I get the buns at Kroger or Walmart.
